Sustainable Floristry

At Wildly Floral Co, we believe in the power of flowers to foster human connection. But we also believe in nurturing the environment that sustains this beauty. That's why we're committed to eco-friendly floristry practices that minimize our impact and maximize the joy we bring.

Here's what we’re doing to be kind to our planet:

  • Local Love: We source our flowers locally whenever possible. This cuts down on transportation emissions and allows us to support nearby farms that prioritize sustainable growing methods.

  • Seasonal Stars: We embrace the natural ebb and flow of the seasons. Seasonal flowers are not only at their peak freshness and beauty, but they also require less energy to cultivate compared to out-of-season blooms.

  • Ditching the Foam: We've banished floral foam from our designs, never touch the stuff! This non-biodegradable material ends up in landfills and releases micro-plastics into our oceans. Instead, we use eco-friendly alternatives like recycled cardboard, chicken wire and natural materials that can be composted or reused.

  • Waste Not, Want Not: We don't let a single stem go to waste! Trimmings and leftover blooms are composted, providing nutrient-rich fertilizer for our local growers. We also encourage customers to return used vases and containers for reuse.

  • Eco-Conscious Packaging: We've said goodbye to plastic! We use recycled paper and biodegradable materials for wrapping and packaging and our favorite OLMS bamboo sticks for holding our note cards.

  • Spreading the Green Word: We believe in educating our customers about sustainable floristry. We share information about the benefits of local and seasonal flowers, and offer tips on how to care for their arrangements to extend their lifespan.

By making these choices, we're working towards a more sustainable future for the floral industry. We believe that beauty and responsibility can go hand in hand, and we invite you to join us on this journey!

Want to be a part of something blooming good? Ask us about our local and seasonal market bunches, and let's create an arrangement that's kind to both you and the planet!
