Event Recap: Camp Wildly

This Spring, Wildly held our first Creative Retreat in the Catskills. We hosted 12 wonderful guests for a weekend of flower arranging & color theory, nestled in the natural beauty of the mountains. Here’s how we spent the weekend connecting, creating, and laughing together.

We selected The Graham & Co for our retreat venue. It’s a charming boutique motel located in Phoenicia, NY. The owners and staff were amazing to work with & we definitely recommend it for families, friends, and solo travelers alike!

Upon arrival, each Camp Wildly guest was greeted with a gift bag. The bags included a program itinerary and treats from some of our favorite vendors:

Friday evening, we set up a flower stem bar & hosted our new friends for drinks & snacks. We got to know each other while arranging flowers & making a collaborative art project.

In the morning, we kicked off with a color session led by Madeline Shaw. Her company, Shapes for the People, helps clients integrate color into their homes by way of bold, geometric murals and color consultations. Our guests learned all about color, and created their own color palettes.

After our color session, we paused for a break and an incredible sound bath with John Minks. Several of our guests had never experienced a sound bath before, and they walked away feeling amazingly relaxed and ready to let their creativity flow into the next session.

Next, we led the group in a flower arranging workshop. Our guests learned to design large scale flower arrangements, choosing from a rainbow of colors to bring their palettes to life.

After a leisurely lunch break, the group reconvened to paint and collage, followed by individual flower consultations. We loved seeing the designs this creative group put together; each one as unique as its creator.

After a long break for dinner, the group reconvened for drinks, snacks & Tarot readings. We were having so much fun we forgot to take photos. Oops!

On Sunday morning, we gathered in the garden to make Spring wreaths, using seasonal blooms and foliages. Everyone left the weekend feeling rested, restored, and energized by all the creative flow and new friendships we made, not to mention a trunk full of flowers! We can’t wait for our next getaway, The Wildly Retreat - Nov 15-17, 2024 at Hemlock Neversink, an all-inclusive luxury resort in The Catskills.
